Election Day? I want some hockey!!!!

With the activities of the weekend now quiet and talks looming on Tuesday I figured I might try and put some facts out about where the talks are reportedly at.

The mood around the talks/twitter universe after this weekend seems to be some quiet hopeful optimism from both sides.
There are reports that the NHL is willing to come halfway on the make hole agreement and that a lot of ground has been covered. But the sobering fact is there's still a lot of ground left to cover. The most hopefuls sign was the fact that Saturdays talks lasted till 1am. Another piece of hope / slash of cold water was a report by a anonymous NHL executive who said that 6-8 owners are all that stands in the way of a deal.

On a lighter note let's congratulate Washington capitals head coach Adam Oates on his soon to come hall of fame induction which will take place on nov 12. Couldn't happen I a better player. Now If only we can get some games going.
